My Topic:

Today's English Education in Korea Hinders the Students' Capacity for English Composition.

 

What I hope to learn from this source:
 I want to find some information that can support my essay.  From this source, I think i would be able to acquire the reasons why general students avoid writing and which is a better instructional method for them.

 

Notes:

 1. Some reasons why students dislike writing - Some students dislike writing because they have hard time getting started and they feel that the paper never turns out the way they want. Others dislike writing because they have nothing to deliver and talk about, or, due to the lack of material. The other people hate composition because they are dyslexic, which causes very poor spelling and interferes with automatic use of writing mechanics.

  2. Tips for parents of struggling adolescent writer- Make sure your teens practice. Offer many opportunities for your children to read books and materials. Encourage your teen to write about personal thoughts and interests. Do not expect to much. Do not have your teen burdened.

  3. Before starting a writing assignment - As an instructor for writing, teachers and parents should help in the first time your teens to draw materials, his or her experiences, and creative ideas for their writing. Also, because there are also cases that students who have something to say but don't know how to organize their ideas effectively, you should have your kids express what they want to say in logical order by asking continuously.

Final thoughts
I think this source is interesting enough to be used for my essay about students' trouble, English composition. However,i think next time i have to find information especially with regarding to Korean students and English composition because my essay topic is about why Korean students are struggling with English composition.
